EDpuzzle - edit videos and embed questions from a variety of sources including YouTube, Khan Academy.  (web)
Screencastify - create screencasts and automatically save them to Google Drive (web, Chrome)
Doodlecast Pro - my favorite screencasting app because it allows students to create multiple page screencasts and you can save work and return to it another day in order to add more. (iPad)
Jing - free screencasting software for your computer (Windows or Mac)

The Great Language Game - listen to a sound file and choose which language is being spoken.  
Smarty Pins
- a trivia game based in Google Maps, you answer questions by clicking a location. (web)
GeoGuessr - also uses Google Maps, the game puts you in street view and challenges determine your location in the world the physical clues around you. (web)
Room Escape Maker - use problem-solving skills (and sometimes luck) to collect clues in order to escape a room.  Build your own also. (web)
